Hey guys, As you may or may not know by my profile pic, I'm a bass player who plays a variety of genres. Jazz, Classical, Funk, Hip-Hop, Latin and R&B are a sample of the genres I can play. My favorite genre of music to listen to in my free-time is Classical, Jazz and Hip-Hop. My favorite classical composers are Beethoven and Brahm's. My favorite Jazz musician is Scott Lafaro (bass player) and my favorite hip-hop artist is Big Sean. I never really go into rock or metal, but I have been recently listening to Psycho stick because I love their quirky lyrics. Here's a song about a dog liking socks: I've actually composed a piece for my friend The Katarite. Please take a listen and tell me what you think: soundcloud.com/joseph-archbold/kirus-themeSo what are your musical preferences/ability? Also, feel free to post a link to one of your favorite songs

Me I like most everything, though when it comes to hip hop, pop, or rap... I will walk away.
I am more of a metal head than anything though, but due to some stuff hapening my music has been slowing down and becoming more calm and relaxing... yet hyping at the same time.

Cool guys! Any links to a song you really like? You will find that many guys here will like metal, rock and such. Crown the Empire is my favourite band, next comes probably System of a Down or Escape the Fate.

My preferred taste is more into electronic. I will be the rare type of people who like more unique sounds and rhythms. My favorites would have to be: Glitch hop, Ambient, Chillstep, Drum and bass and a bit of trap. Although, can't stand vocaloids, nightcore, hardcore or complextro (skrillex is an example, yes it isn't dubstep).

I have a respect for most music except screamo and perverted rap. i love pop, rock, punk, christian, classical, and well mostly everything. I LOVE broadwau music too haha.

Funny enough, I can't seem to see where the Christian is in Skillet's music. They sound just as awesome as any other rock song, though other bands do blow them out of the water often. I have grown a sense of distaste for hip hop and you'll never get me into pop or its cousins...ever.
I also enjoy artists like Audiomachine and Two Steps From Hell. The music they make are truly epic. This video is Audiomachine's Blood and Stone. I love it.

I'm honestly into classical music, but I do listen to hip hop. However, I only love ONE. country song. Other than that, it's just... NO. The song I listen to almost all the time is Bring me to Life.

lol, actually if you look at Skillet Lyrics, you can tell. Take monster for instance, "I feel like a monster, this beast is ugly." It's talking about sin and how he feels like a monster for sinning and such :3

If I recall from what a friend told me, Skillet is actually quoting Bible verses... I don't listen to Skillet so I can't really say.
I prefer softer rhythms due to sensitive hearing, the only fast beat soft I really enjoy would have to be Sarcasm. I enjoy acoustics to a certain extent but I'm very picky since music isn't much my favorite unless it's instrumental. I have 'perfect pitch' meaning I can hear the pitches that hurt the most and can easily pick out voice flaws. So country, rock and heavy metal are quite literally painful to my hearing.
My favorite songs with voices, I have noticed to be very morbid, as pointed out by many of my friends. Come Little Children, Mordred's Lullaby, The Curse, Lilium, Diary of Jane acoustic version, Once Upon a December.... and that's it.
