That logo is SO old that you was better off using the PS2 logo, bro! PlayStation for the win! Been playing on their consoles since the very first one and I shan't switch to any other console ever in my life time.-folds arms-

Ha! I was debating on using the PS2 logo, but sweet sweet nostalgia made me go with the classic PSX logo. And hell yeah! I love my PS2 so much. Though, Sony did lose me with the PSP and PS3... They kinda abandoned all the games I liked. But, I still love Sony for what they're doing!

Oh come now! The PS3 had great games. Especially Call of Duty and GTA V! The PSP I can agree with you on, I never owned one nor will I ever. But the PS4! I am working on getting one of those and getting into Destiny! I watch my little bro play all the time.

Not saying the PS3 had bad games - it certainly had masterpieces. But... I just wish they wouldn't neglect Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, etc. Those games are so overdue for a proper installment that it's driving me mad. Also, Team ICO (ICO and Shadow of the Colossus) needs to get out another experience. During the PS3 era, it seemed that Sony was trying to copy everyone else and try to steal their market, rather than be truly unique. I would only grab a PS3 for Red Dead Redemption and The Last of Us I only had a PSP for Monster Hunter... That's really the only reason to own one. Personally, I'm not too big on FPS's, so CoD never really got me and I'll just wait to build my own PC for GTA V (it's getting a PC release soon). Mods, mods, mods!
When it comes to the PS4, it just doesn't have that winning game yet. All the games on it are just like previous gen games but with "updated" graphics. Every game that has promised to deliver that "true next-gen experience" have all fallen flat... Primarily Watch_Dogs and (sadly) Destiny. Destiny's a pretty game and does some things right (gunplay and style), but it misses the bullseye on nearly everything else. The "drop rates" are RNG. Basically, you might do the hardest mission in the game (you would expect to get some sweet-ass loot), but you only get the most basic of items. The story telling is atrocious (every character says, "I could tell you..." then rambles on about something else) and there's just so much that's wrong with it. Everyone had their expectations high for both of these games, and they just couldn't deliver. Is Destiny a bad game? No. Just not the epic masterpiece we all wanted. Is Watch_Dogs a bad game? Nope. Just not the hacking GTA-styled game we were all hoping for. Maybe it's the audience that needs to lower their expectations and become more realistic. Though, Destiny's story is inexcusable. That's just... Ugh.
Sony's peak was with the PS2 in my opinion. PS3 a bad console? No, not at all. Just doesn't appeal to my tastes. PS4 a bad console? Not a single bit.
Speaking of the PS4... Silent Hills just might make me get one.

Dude, you are absolutely right! I share your frustration concerning Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, etc. The sense of comedy mixed with action was pretty different from the rigid and constant action of say Call of Duty (though Call of Duty is a great game). I never have and never will own a PSP, frankly I feel the DS will do. With the PS4, I believe they realized that they ought to be more unique and create games that best fit them. I believe the PS4 has claimed a winning game, that game being Destiny. From what I have played and witnessed, the game is great! It truly captures the players' attention and makes the player crave the better weapons, accessories and armours!
PS2 was great for its time, but as time moves on so does the cravings of players. Better graphics, different games, etc. I believe PlayStation gets the point now. I was never a horror game fan.

Destiny is... Meh. I've explained my gripes with it. Sure, its style is stunning, but it.. Just did so much wrong.
The PSP only had one series really worth getting a PSP over; that being Monster Hunter (VERRRYYY highly recommended). Though, that series is now on Nintendo platforms. The newest one coming out in the west is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and it's looking to be the biggest change from the standard formula in the series. It really looks good.
PS2 is a master of a console - only a SNES can compete with it. Maybe Sony gets the point, but they're not doing much for players with my kind of tastes. One game won't warrant a console purchase for me, but for some it might. In the end, games are games; no matter what console they're on.
