Setting: The physical environment will be a setting similiar to Aincrad from Sword Art Online. Players are encouraged to keep the general theme of weapons, vehicles, buildings, etc to those of Medieval times.
Characters, NPCs: Myself and one other person (a volunteer, possibly more in the future) will be "system administrators" for the world everyone else is playing in. We will be allowed to have other characters as long as we don't use the admin powers to privilege our own characters. (If we abuse our power it is to be pointed out by the players and discussed in OOC)
The SysAdmins will control any NPC's they need to to supply normal interactions for all the other players, and may designate NPC "characters" they wish to roleplay as full time but aren't normal characters.
All other players are to be Orignal Characters. Meaning they are not from this anime or famous in any other way. They may have been used in other roleplays but must have been created by the person playing them.
Skills: Any reasonable sword-fighting, defense, or environmental skills are permitted. Skill sets (Sword&Shield, dual wielding) are permitted. Players may know certain skills like lockpicking, pickpocketing, limited medical knowledge (no fixing broken bones. go to town) etc. Don't make your players know everything.
For the sake of balance all players should start with similar weapons etc. No OP weapons at the start, kill and buy them.
For the sake of making life easier on the GM's, player's may roleplay minimalist system actions, IE getting low level quests or buying health potions etc. GM's will offer special, more rewarding quests to players or groups as they see fit. Buying any type of gear that affects how you'll perform should be interacted with a GM or player thats roleplaying as a NPC shop.
If you control multiple characters no more than 66% of the characters may be the same gender. If you have 2 characters they may both be the same gender. If you have 3 or more at least 33%(rounded up) must be the opposite gender. 3 characters = 2 boy 1 girl or 1 boy 2 girl. 4 characters can be any as long as 1 is a different gender. 5 and 6 characters 2 must be a different gender.
Levels and Currency: Every so many-decent length posts a SysAdmin will decide to level players up.
Every even level up (2,4, etc) characters will receive 1 skill point to learn a new ability or increase the efficiency of a learned skill.)
Every odd level up (3,5, etc) characters will receive 2 skill points.
At the START of the game characters will be able to choose 3 base skills. 2 skills that are any combination of offensive or defensive abilities and 1 environmental ability (low level healing, lockpicking, identification etc)
Money will simply be copper, silver, gold, and platinum pieces. 100 pieces of 1 currency will go to the next level. So your starting silver piece is worth 100 copper pieces.
Starting town:
The starting town will be the largest in most of the game, at least for the first several floors.
To the east and south are plains, surrounded by forests about 3/4 of a mile away from the town borders.
To the west is a smaller field with a river about 200 yards away from the town gate. Level 1 animals that can be killed for food are here and will respawn minutes after being killed.
To the north is a dangerous mountain range.
The lower level monsters in the mountains are level 3 and only certain characters can easily move around in this area. Rumor has it that there is a unique weapon somewhere in these mountains.

How the roleplay will start and continue to work:
Anyone interested will post a bio of their character (outline to follow) and their character will be in the central town on the first floor. A system announcement after a certain amount of time will welcome players to the world and tell them where to get their first quest and what to do.
After that basic gear will appear in everyone's inventory along with 1 silver piece.
Note: This thread will be locked until the AoA noticeboard is up.
