So I have been noticing things lately... There have been at least two different people with pictures from Tokyo Ghoul... So I decided to ask opinions about it since I'm currently reading it's manga.
In my opinion it's a great anime though I wish they had made a second season, the manga is even better and so on. So, here are the questions. What do you like best about Tokyo Ghoul? Who are your favorite characters and why? What do you dislike about Tokyo Ghoul? And anything else you might want to add.

I like Tokyo Ghoul because it is a darker series, and every once in a while I need to watch something like that. I like Touka because she is awesome and I like Kaneki because I knew that he would become a kick'a' Ghoul. I didn't like how short it was, but at least there will be a second season. And the manga is super epic.

Tokyo Ghoul? Oh! Is that where that creepy black/red eyed, disturbing smiling masked individual who recently popped up is from? Is it better or similar to Attack on Titan in the realm of keeping you glued to the screen and wanting to watch every episode in the season in one night?! -gasps for air.-

Its super gripping. I would almost say just as or more so than AOT. But those are my thoughts on it.

Yes that individual is Kaneki Ken, the protagonist known as "Eye-patch" by his enemies. It is a very gripping story, not as dark as AoT but rather close to it.

Oh my gosh, Tokyo Ghoul is so great. I read the manga first (which was amazing) and then I watched the anime, which was good too! I think one of the things that I love about it the most is that it's from the perspective of the ghouls, mainly Kaneki, and normally you'd think that creatures like ghouls would be shown as the antagonists - but I love how they show that ghouls aren't so different from humans, really, and just provides this really interesting perspective. As for favorite characters, Kaneki is definitely my favorite overall - I just love his character so much, and I love Touka and Hinami a lot too! What I disliked about Tokyo Ghoul was the ending to the manga.... no spoilers, of course, but it certainly was... shocking. Luckily, there's both a manga sequel and anime sequel so nothing to worry about.... I hope! Ah, I rambled a bit but those are my general thoughts on Tokyo Ghoul! It's definitely my favorite manga, that's for sure.

I don't want to be the "bad guy" in reviewing anime but I tend to tell honest reviews without sugarcoating things. Tokyo Ghoul... was disappointing. I heard the manga is a lot better so I shall be reading it soon. (If you watched the anime and want to read the manga, it is recommended to read from the start) It has generic characters, the strong personality was only built upon the main character right at the end which I actually enjoyed. The other episodes were mediocre... Generic speech and behavior patterns and of course annoying moments that make you just want to smack them. The fight scenes were... okay. If you can stand 12 episodes of trying to hold in your desires to tell them to do shizzle go ahead and watch it

Phrax, you should consider the Anime Moderator position that's available after such a critique. Though you may have competition because others are quite capable also.
