Death is a trap.
It’s unavoidable.
It strikes when no one’s looking.
It rarely shows any mercy.
We try to defy it.
Nothing will work.
It’s a shame we’re that desperate
To avoid such a horrible fate.
It’s something that we fear.
We think only one thing.
“Is today the day?”
Do I leave the world today?”
We don’t know what to expect.
We all know it’ll happen.
Whether it is today or tomorrow.
We will surely die.
