***Probably not one of my best***
It was a normal day for Kiero Itsukara. He was already awake, running along the bank of a river with his childhood friend, Kimiko (Kiko, as he would call her since he couldn't pronounce her name when he was younger, though kept it as they grew up), as he waited for his grandfather to begin his training session for the day. His grandfather, Hiroshi Itsukara, was a teacher for the only school on the island. Kiero's father had left for a trip out on the seas a few years ago when Kiero was 8 years old, never returning since. Everyone assumed he died, but Kiero believed otherwise, avoiding any conversations that came up about his father, or any father figure in general.
When he saw the signal for the beginning of training, he grabbed Kiko's hand and ran with her through the small forest towards the school. Once they reached the gate, he slowed to a walk and made his way to class on the second floor, waving to everyone once he entered the room. It was a pretty normal day, a few classes, then training on Power Control. It just so happened that on this "normal" day, Kiero exhibited a sign that could have meant he harbored the clan's secret ability. This occurred during the training session for the day, at noon-time to be precise.
The activity involved sparring with your classmate and, to his misfortune, Kiero's partner happened to be Kiko. Instead of performing a basic bolt shot, he accidentally unleashed a red aura shot at Kiko, knocking her unconscious. When he realized what he did, he crawled over to her and tried to get her to wake up, crying a little as he did so. His eye color revealed dull, silver iris' and his right eye had a red pupil while the other had a blue pupil. He suffered an intense headache, probably because he used the mysterious power for the first time. He too, soon fell unconscious, unable to endure the pain he received while a red aura rose from his body. He woke up two days later in a hospital, hooked up to a machine and laying on a bed.
He tried to look around the room, but at the moment, his vision was very blurry. He felt someone grabbing his wrist and turned his face to look at the person. He still couldn't see but as the person called his name, he knew the voice immediately. It was his older brother, Ayumu. A smile spread across Kiero's face when he heard that Kiko was okay. Soon enough, the doctor came in with his grandfather, slight laughter heard from the both of them.
As he sat up, Ayumu sat next to him on the bed. When he talked with the doctor for a few minutes, his smile widened. He nodded in response to the doctor's question to inject him and endured the slight pain. Apparently, the substance would keep the new power under control and clear up his eyes, which it did. Able to see again, he soon ran past everyone in the room and made his way over to Kiko's, happy that she seemed fine.
The next day, as he returned to school, he had to be transferred to a different class due to the display of his power. He was sad at the fact that he had to leave his classmates and friends, though once he got settled, he quickly became friends with Sayuri Hitsuragi, the class' best fighter and troublemaker. She soon became a part of the group, it consisting of Ayumu, Kiko, and himself. With her coming along at this point, they became notorious for doing small, "evil" deeds around the island. They soon earned the name "The Mob", given to them by the adults.
Whatever peace they left behind on the island was soon chased away by the various explosions occurring in specific areas. Soon enough, The Mob was blamed for everything, though after a few days, they were easily proven innocent. After a few weeks of the repeated blaming and trials, and coincidentally on Kiero's 13th birthday, a "special visitor" appeared at the school. He labeled himself as Hizori Yoshi, a tall man who seemed to revolve around pride. For some reason, no one questioned his sudden appearance or his reasoning for coming to the school.
Though, soon after, it was revealed that he was the leader of a military force known as Carnage. They were widely known for the destruction of remote areas and kidnapping of various people. With the entire island in ruin and the stench of blood flowing in the once fresh air, Ayumu, Kiero, Kiko, and Sayuri each watched as their friends and families were killed off in one night. Being four of the few survivors kept alive due to their special abilities, they were transported with ease to the Carnage HQ's prison, having been traumatized by the incident. They were placed in special cells and injected with a substance that kept their powers dormant until needed later on.
Having enough time to cool their minds, they gathered together whenever they could and made a plan to escape the prison. After about a month of doing so, they came up with a -hopefully- flawless escape route and carried out the plan a few days later. With few obstacles in their way, the plan worked out smoothly and they each escaped one by one during the night, meeting up in a city close to the prison. Unfortunately, Hizori soon learned about their escape and sent people out to hunt them down. At this point, they decided it would be better for them to split up, thus, The Mob was disbanded.
Before they split up though, they decided to buy something that would remind them of each other, promising to one day meet up again. The special item they chose? A silver ring engraved with the insignia they created when they were younger. Those four rings alone carried the strength they needed to take revenge for their lost loved-ones.
