This is a poem I wrote for the love of my life: my wife of course.
This is a poem of past, present and future my love,
Where peace and understanding shall fly from like a dove in the sky above,
In the past we were young mentally,
We may not have known how to handle situations properly,
We knew we wanted to come together and marry,
But our future was insecure and things got a little scary,
We ran into some mutual problems that took a while to solve,
We were on a low spell that took some time to resolve,
However, in the end we got through it and displayed our strength,
We were determined to stay married and continue to stretch its length,
Presently, our love is stronger than that of the past,
Its grown from barely mature to vast,
Of course issues still exist,
But as long as we wish to resolve them peacefully, we shall resist
The urge to let emotion rule our minds,
And attack our stress until it completely unwinds,
Our future is bright, filled to the brim with passion and might,
Less negativity, stress and fright,
Pulsating with Godliness and a brilliant light,
Babe, we got this, our combined strength cannot be matched,
Anyone opposing us will be challenged and snatched
By the neck and thrown to the side,
Because when it comes to our affairs we let in who we decide,
I love you, never forget, doubt or contemplate,
Because our past, present and future is ours to create!!!
